help you avoid the squirming hassles of negotiating with customs or
immigration officials -- because you are going to lose, or worse
yet, get there and can't come back except by an Act of Congress.
Being ready avoids delayed trips. Make very sure your travel
documents are valid for the entire length of your vacation, and a
little longer. It would also be a good idea to make certified
duplicate copies of your most important files -- such as your birth
and insurance certificates and especially your credit card records.
Accredited travel agencies can be extremely helpful in these areas
of preparation. If, for any reason you insist on doing it all
on your own, contact Spain's Embassy and other helpful agencies.
